Open, edit and save files in Box directly from Microsoft Office and Office 365 ProPlus on your Windows PC using Box for Office. Share files with others from Office and Outlook using shared links to avoid insecure attachments, save network bandwidth and reduce storage costs.

How to use:

1. When you firstly run the software, it will pop up a message (shared folder message), just click the OK button. The software will add a virtual disk Z: on your hard drive, allowing you to upload or download data. This method is completely safe.

2. The software will remind you need to register an account. The password must be at least 6 characters include upper case , lower case and digit number. If you computer has the firewall to block the communication, please allow the program to access the Internet.

3. After you have successfully registered an account, you can begin to use the online app box on any platform.

4. Double-click a software you want to launch, for example 'Abiword'.

5. A warning dialog box will popup because we have not applied digital signature. Later we may apply it. If you trust the program, click the the Connect button.

6. Enter the account name and password which you applied in Online App Box or on our website.

After you login, remote Abiword will launch.

Then you can use the online program as usual.

Now the important thing is how you upload file to remote server and download the output file to your local computer.

Please click the Open button or select the Open menu item to upload the file from your virtual disk Z:.

A warning dialog box will popup because the server has restrictions for the default folder. Click the OK button.

An Open File dialog box will popup. But the all folders are on the server.

Click the Computer icon. You will find the virtual drive Z:

Please copy a file such as test.txt to the disk Z: or the folder c:usersxxxDocumentsonlineapp in Window 7. In Windows XP the folder is C:Documents and SettingsxxxMy Documentsonlineapp (xxx=your profile's name).

Then wait for seconds, the file will be open. If the file is big video format for other online apps, you may have to wait for several minutes. We define the maximum file size to protect our hard disk space for your profile.

Please click the Save button or select the Save or Save As menu item to download the output file to your virtual disk Z:.
